After a few years in a civilian job with the Prince George's County Police Department; in July of '99, Kevin decided to take his love of music and turn it into a full time career. As a BMI songwriter, Kevin has had over 50 of his musical titles published for use in commercial radio, television and film, and has lent his multiple talents to over 20 commercially and nationally released albums.
While "making his bones" as a musician in the Washington, D.C. area, Kevin took the opportunities as they came; either recording, touring or performing with such national acts as Ben Folds Five, Kenny Rogers, Kool & the Gang, the band Chicago on their 35th Anniversary Tour and the Plain White T's at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, CA.
In 2008, Kevin secured a spot as a cast member on the CBS Television web-series "Big Shot Live". The production was filmed at the historic Sunset Gower Studios lot in Hollywood, California. Kline was cast alongside actress/comedian Natasha Leggero, who portrayed Kevin's manger in the series; along with actor/comedian Todd Glass and Los Angeles based music producer Chris Fudurich. Kline was the principal character in two episodes of the CBS series that first aired in February of 2008 and was distributed by 197 CBS television affiliates across the U.S.
He is an avid supporter and activist for the Pearl Harbor Memorial Fund, the Morningside Volunteer Fire Department, Musicians on Call and World Vision, as well as many other charitable organizations. Kevin continues to be an active Voting-Member of the National Academy of Arts and Sciences (The Grammy's). Kevin currently owns and operates a real estate acquisition company in Northern Virginia and resides with his wife and children in the Washington, D.C. area.

From rubbing shoulders on the red carpet at the Grammy's or VMA's...to passing legislation; professional songwriter and musician Kevin Kline, turned "suit & tie" politician and real estate investor, has never lost his original Rock'n'Roll roots.
In 2011, Kevin was elected to a city council seat representing Prince Georges County Maryland/District 9; just south of Washington, D.C. Kevin's work with the Morningside Volunteer Fire Department lead to increase awareness, funding and equipment for the busiest Rescue Squad in the State of Maryland and the 11th busiest in the Nation.
After settling down and concentrating more on recording all of his original music than touring, Kline has recently been calling George Washington's Mount Vernon home for a series of monthly performances.
Kevin has a knack and love for politics, people, music and all things good and righteous.
