Kevin Kline,
award winning singer/songwriter/musician and now elected municipal
official.
From rubbing
shoulders on the red carpet at the Grammy's or VMA's...to now budget
meetings and passing legislation; professional songwriter/musician
Kevin Kline, has turned "suit & tie" politician; but has never lost
his rock'n'roll roots.
After starting
out as a civilian employee with the Prince George's County Police
Department; in July of '99, Kevin decided to take his love of music
and turn it into a full time job. As a BMI songwriter, Kline has had
over 50 of his musical titles published for use in commercial radio,
television and film, and has lent his multiple talents to over 20
commercially and nationally released albums.
In 2008, Kevin
secured a spot as a cast member on the CBS Television web-series
"Big Shot Live". The production was filmed on the Sunset Gower
Studios lot in Hollywood, California. Kline was cast alongside
actress/comedian Natasha Leggero, who portrayed Kevin's manger in
the series; along with actor/comedian Todd Glass and Los Angeles
based music producer Chris Fudurich. Kline was the principal
character in two episodes of the CBS series that first aired in
February of 2008 and was distributed by 197 CBS television
affiliates across the U.S.
In 2011, Kevin
was elected to a city council seat in Morningside, Maryland; just
south of Washington, D.C..
Kevin has a
knack and love for politics, people, music and all things good and
righteous. He is an avid supporter and activist for the Pearl Harbor
Memorial Fund, the Morningside Volunteer Fire Department, Musicians
on Call, S.O.M.E, as well as many other charitable organizations.
